How We Handle Your Domain

Your domain is your online identity - it belongs to you and should always remain under your control. Here is how we handle domains depending on your situation. Option 1: We Purchase and Manage the Domain for You If you don't already have a domain, we can register and manage it on your behalf. This is the simplest option - we handle everything including registration, renewal, and any DNS changes needed during and after your project. The domain is registered in your name and always belongs to you. We strongly recommend this approach because it gives you full control at all times - if you ever need to make changes, move to a different provider, or work with another team in the future, you have complete access to your own domain. Option 2: You Already Have a Domain If you already own a domain registered with a provider such as GoDaddy, Papaki, Hostinger, or any other registrar, you keep it exactly where it is. We don't need access to your registrar account. What we do need is a simple DNS change - specifically updating the nameservers or adding specific DNS records to point your domain to your hosting. We will guide you through this step by step - it typically takes less than 5 minutes and no technical knowledge is required. Our Recommendation: Keep Your Domain With Us We strongly recommend that your domain is managed through our agency account. Here is why: - You always have full control and ownership of your domain - DNS changes, renewals, and technical configurations are handled instantly by our team without waiting on you - No risk of accidental misconfiguration on your end - Renewals are managed proactively - no risk of your domain expiring without warning - Any technical issue related to your domain is resolved faster when we have direct access Your domain always belongs to you regardless of where it is managed. If at any point you want it transferred to your own registrar account, we handle the transfer upon your request - no questions asked. Transferring Your Domain If your domain is currently managed by us and you want to move it to your own registrar account, simply contact us and we will initiate the transfer process. Domain transfers typically take 5-7 days to complete depending on the registrar. If you have a domain elsewhere and want to transfer it to us for easier management, we can handle that as well. Project Warranty & Post-Launch Support

When we deliver a project, we stand behind our work. Every website and ecommerce store we build comes with a clear warranty period and post-launch support so you can launch with confidence. 15-Day Adjustment Period In the first 15 days after your project is delivered and signed off, you can request minor adjustments at no additional cost. This includes things like: - Text and content changes - Image replacements - Menu structure adjustments - Small design tweaks This period exists to make sure everything is exactly as you want it before we consider the project fully complete. 60-Day Warranty Beyond the adjustment period, every project we deliver includes a 60-day warranty. During this time, if anything on your website stops working correctly as a result of how it was built, we fix it - no questions asked, no additional charges. We are confident in the quality of our work, which is why we offer this commitment as standard. After the Warranty Period Your website belongs to you completely. After the 60-day warranty period, the ongoing health of your website depends on how it is maintained. WordPress websites require regular updates - core, plugins, themes, and PHP - to remain stable, secure, and compatible over time. Without these, issues can appear that have nothing to do with how the website was originally built. An incompatible plugin update, a PHP version change, or an accidental admin-level change can all cause problems on any WordPress website. This is not a risk unique to websites we build - it applies to every WordPress website everywhere. Our Recommendation: Stay Protected with a Maintenance Plan The best way to protect your website long term is through one of our Website Maintenance Plans. With an active plan, your website is monitored daily, updates are applied carefully and tested, and any issues are caught and resolved before they affect your visitors or your business. Clients on a maintenance plan benefit from continuous protection well beyond the 60-day warranty - with us actively looking after their website every single day. If you are interested in ongoing coverage after your project is delivered, we are happy to discuss which plan fits your website best. → View Maintenance Plans → Contact Us

How Our Pricing Works

We believe in complete transparency when it comes to pricing. There are no hidden fees, no surprises after the project starts, and no standard packages that force you to pay for things you don't need. Here is how we approach pricing and why it works the way it does. Every Project Is Different No two businesses are the same - and neither are their websites or digital needs. A local service business, an ecommerce store, a multilingual booking platform, and a law firm all have completely different requirements, different goals, and different levels of complexity. This is why we don't offer fixed price lists. What we offer instead is a pricing model that is built around exactly what your project needs - not a standard package that either overcharges you for things you don't need or cuts corners on things you do. The quality of our work is always the same. The scope and cost vary based on what your specific project requires. How We Get to a Price Initial Conversation Everything starts with a conversation. We take the time to understand your business, your goals, your current situation, and what you are trying to achieve. This is not a sales call - it is a genuine effort to understand your needs before we recommend anything. Research & Analysis Based on what we learn, we research your industry, your market, and your competition. We identify what solutions will actually help your business generate more leads, more sales, or better results online - and which ones are not worth your investment at this stage. Tailored Recommendation We present you with a clear recommendation of what we suggest for your project, why we suggest it, and what each element will cost. Every item is explained so you understand what you are paying for and what outcome it is designed to achieve. Flexible Scope Based on Your Priorities Not everything needs to happen at once. If your budget has limits, we work with you to prioritise - starting with what will have the most impact and building from there. We always find a solution that fits your situation without compromising on quality. What Transparent Pricing Means in Practice - You receive a clear, itemised proposal before any work begins - No work starts without your explicit approval of the scope and cost - If scope changes during a project, we discuss and agree on any cost implications before proceeding - No surprise invoices at the end How to Get a Quote The fastest way to get started is to tell us about your project. We will review your needs, ask any follow-up questions, and come back to you with a clear proposal. → Start Your Project

What Happens If My Website Goes Down?

If you are on one of our Website Maintenance Plans, chances are we already know about it before you do. We monitor every client website 24/7 with checks every 5 minutes - the moment something goes wrong, we get notified instantly and start investigating right away. If you are on hosting only, here's what to do. First: Check If It's Actually Down Before contacting us, do a quick check to rule out a local issue on your end: - Visit downforeveryoneorjustme.com and enter your website address - Try opening your website from a different device or mobile data connection - Ask someone else to check from their end If it's down for everyone, contact us immediately. Contact Us Immediately You can reach us via: - Email - Phone - WhatsApp / Viber - Contact form at ath.dev/contact When you contact us, please include: - Your website address - When you first noticed it was down - Any recent changes made to the website (new plugin, update, content edit, etc.) The more context you provide, the faster we can identify and resolve the issue. What We Do on Our End Once we're on it, we investigate immediately. Common causes we check include: - A recent WordPress, plugin, or theme update that caused a conflict - A sudden traffic spike that exceeded available resources - An expired SSL certificate - A DNS misconfiguration - A server-level infrastructure issue Most issues are resolved quickly. We handle everything on your behalf — you don't need to contact anyone else or deal with any technical details yourself. Why 24/7 Monitoring Matters Without monitoring, a website can be down for hours before anyone notices — losing visitors, leads, or sales in the meantime. With our maintenance plans, every website is checked every 5 minutes around the clock. If something goes wrong at 3am on a Sunday, we know about it and act on it. If you're currently on hosting only and want this level of protection, take a look at our maintenance plans. → View Maintenance Plans

How Often Is My Website Backed Up?

Your website is backed up automatically every single day. Backups run in the early morning hours without affecting your website's performance or availability - you don't need to do anything. Every backup captures your complete website: all files, the database, email accounts, and server configuration. You always have the last 14 days of restore points available at any time. Backup Schedule Backups run daily at around 4:00 AM and are incremental — meaning only the changes since the previous backup are saved each day. This keeps things fast and efficient while still giving you a full snapshot of your website for every day in the past two weeks. How to Request a Restore Backups are fully managed on our side. If you need to roll back your website to a previous date, contact us and we'll take care of it. Please let us know: - The date you'd like to restore to - What went wrong or what you're trying to recover We'll advise the best course of action and handle the restore for you. You can reach us via: - Email - Phone - WhatsApp / Viber - Contact form at ath.dev/contact Important: What Happens If My Hosting Is Not Renewed? If your hosting plan is not renewed on time, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this period your website remains intact but may be taken offline. After 30 days without payment, all website files, databases, and email accounts are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered - not even from backups. If you're having trouble with renewal, contact us before the deadline. Want an Extra Layer of Protection? Our daily backups cover the hosting infrastructure. If you want additional protection with backup verification and recovery readiness checks included as part of ongoing support, take a look at our Website Maintenance Plans. → View Maintenance Plans

Professional Email Hosting

If your business relies on email for communication with clients, partners, and suppliers, the infrastructure behind that email matters more than most people realise. For growing businesses that take their communication seriously, upgrading to a dedicated professional email platform is one of the most impactful and cost-effective steps you can take. We set up and configure Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (Exchange) for businesses ready to make that move. Where Most Business Emails Are Hosted Today When a website is built and email accounts are created - such as info@yourbusiness.com - those emails are typically hosted on the same web hosting server as the website itself. This works perfectly well at the start and for many smaller operations. However, web hosting servers are shared environments. Your email sits on the same IP address as potentially hundreds of other businesses and websites. If one of those businesses gets hacked, starts sending spam, or gets flagged by Google or Microsoft, the entire IP address can be blacklisted - affecting every business on that server, including yours. Your emails may start landing in junk folders without any warning and without anything being your fault. This is not a criticism of web hosting for email - it is simply the nature of shared infrastructure and a reality worth understanding as your business grows. The Next Step: Dedicated Professional Email Hosting Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are the industry standard for professional business email. When your email is hosted directly on Google's or Microsoft's infrastructure, you are no longer sharing an IP with anyone. Your emails are sent from some of the most trusted and reputable mail servers in the world - which means dramatically better deliverability and far less risk of landing in spam folders. This is one of the main reasons why emails from @gmail.com and Microsoft-hosted domains consistently reach inboxes, while emails from web hosting servers sometimes do not. Key Benefits Better Email Deliverability Emails sent from Google or Microsoft infrastructure carry a significantly higher trust score. Your emails reach inboxes - not junk folders. This matters enormously for sales outreach, client communication, and any email where being seen is critical. No Shared IP Risk Your email reputation is entirely your own. You are not affected by the behaviour of other businesses on a shared server. If someone else gets flagged for spam, it has no impact on you. Professional Storage & Access Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 offer generous mailbox storage, accessible from any device, browser, or email client - with full sync across desktop, mobile, and web. No more storage limits or emails stuck on a single device. Advanced Security & Control Enterprise-grade security including two-factor authentication, admin controls, audit logs, device management, and data protection policies. You control who has access to what, and your business data is protected by Google's or Microsoft's security infrastructure. Collaboration Tools Included Both platforms include far more than just email. Google Workspace includes Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Calendar. Microsoft 365 includes Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and more - all integrated with your email and accessible from anywhere. Professional Credibility A business email backed by Google or Microsoft infrastructure - with proper DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records correctly configured - signals professionalism and reliability to anyone you communicate with. Which Platform Is Right for You? Both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are excellent options. The right choice depends on your team's existing habits and preferences: - If your team already uses Google products (Chrome, Google Docs, Drive, Android) - Google Workspace is the natural fit - If your team uses Windows, Office applications, or Teams - Microsoft 365 makes more sense We advise you on the right choice during the setup process based on your specific situation. What We Handle - Platform selection and account setup - Domain verification and DNS configuration (MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) - Migration of existing emails from your current hosting if needed - User account creation and configuration - Email client setup on desktop and mobile devices - Testing and verification before go-live Who This Is For - Businesses that rely on email as a primary communication channel - Teams with multiple people who need shared access to calendars, contacts, and files - Any business experiencing email deliverability issues or emails landing in spam - Growing businesses that want their infrastructure to match their professionalism Ready to Upgrade Your Email? → Start Your Project
