How to Give Us Access to Your WordPress Admin
When we need to work on your website, we require access to your WordPress admin panel. Rather than using your personal login, we ask you to create a separate Administrator account for us. This keeps things clean, secure, and easy to manage. Follow the steps below - no technical knowledge required. Step 1: Log In to Your WordPress Admin Go to your website address followed by /wp-admin (for example: yourwebsite.com/wp-admin) and log in with your username and password. Note: Some websites use a custom login URL for security reasons - instead of /wp-admin, the login page may be at a different address (for example: yourwebsite.com/login or yourwebsite.com/manage). If you're not sure what your login URL is, check your browser history or contact us and we'll help you find it. When sending us your credentials in Step 5, make sure to include your custom login URL as well - without it, we won't be able to access your admin panel. Step 2: Go to Users From the left sidebar menu, click on Users, then click Add New User. Step 3: Fill In the Details Fill in the form with the following: - Username - use something like athdev or ath-support - Email - use our email address: info@ath.dev - Password - click "Generate Password" to create a strong one automatically. Copy it - you'll need to send it to us - Role - select Administrator from the dropdown Step 4: Create the User Click the Add New User button at the bottom of the page. The account is now created. Step 5: Send Us the Login Details Send us the following via email at info@ath.dev - Your website address - The username you created - The password Never send login credentials in a single message if you're concerned about security. You can send the username in one message and the password in a separate one. Important Security Notes - Do not share your own personal WordPress login with us - always create a separate account - Once we have finished the work, you can change the password of the account or delete it if you no longer need ongoing support from us - We will never ask for your personal account credentials Need Help? How We Handle Your Domain
Your domain is your online identity - it belongs to you and should always remain under your control. Here is how we handle domains depending on your situation. Option 1: We Purchase and Manage the Domain for You If you don't already have a domain, we can register and manage it on your behalf. This is the simplest option - we handle everything including registration, renewal, and any DNS changes needed during and after your project. The domain is registered in your name and always belongs to you. We strongly recommend this approach because it gives you full control at all times - if you ever need to make changes, move to a different provider, or work with another team in the future, you have complete access to your own domain. Option 2: You Already Have a Domain If you already own a domain registered with a provider such as GoDaddy, Papaki, Hostinger, or any other registrar, you keep it exactly where it is. We don't need access to your registrar account. What we do need is a simple DNS change - specifically updating the nameservers or adding specific DNS records to point your domain to your hosting. We will guide you through this step by step - it typically takes less than 5 minutes and no technical knowledge is required. Our Recommendation: Keep Your Domain With Us We strongly recommend that your domain is managed through our agency account. Here is why: - You always have full control and ownership of your domain - DNS changes, renewals, and technical configurations are handled instantly by our team without waiting on you - No risk of accidental misconfiguration on your end - Renewals are managed proactively - no risk of your domain expiring without warning - Any technical issue related to your domain is resolved faster when we have direct access Your domain always belongs to you regardless of where it is managed. If at any point you want it transferred to your own registrar account, we handle the transfer upon your request - no questions asked. Transferring Your Domain If your domain is currently managed by us and you want to move it to your own registrar account, simply contact us and we will initiate the transfer process. Domain transfers typically take 5-7 days to complete depending on the registrar. If you have a domain elsewhere and want to transfer it to us for easier management, we can handle that as well. Every website and ecommerce store we build comes with a clear warranty period and post-launch support so you can launch with confidence. 15-Day Adjustment Period In the first 15 days after your project is delivered and signed off, you can request minor adjustments at no additional cost. This includes things like: - Text and content changes - Image replacements - Menu structure adjustments - Small design tweaks This period exists to make sure everything is exactly as you want it before we consider the project fully complete. 60-Day Warranty Beyond the adjustment period, every project we deliver includes a 60-day warranty. During this time, if anything on your website stops working correctly as a result of how it was built, we fix it - no questions asked, no additional charges. We are confident in the quality of our work, which is why we offer this commitment as standard. After the Warranty Period Your website belongs to you completely. After the 60-day warranty period, the ongoing health of your website depends on how it is maintained. WordPress websites require regular updates - core, plugins, themes, and PHP - to remain stable, secure, and compatible over time.
